At Overton Playgroup and Pre-school we follow the children's interests and plan with our children enhancing our provision to meet their needs. We have rich continuous provision where children are able to access equipment of their own choice. We enhance the environment from the planning we do and have adult directed activities for the children to engage in.
At the beginning of each session, the children have time to play and settle before register time.

In 2002, Overton Playgroup raised funds to renovate and re-design the community centre garden and the children now have a new, safe and stimulating environment in which to play all year round. Features include a herb garden where the children are encouraged to touch, feel and smell the plants, a playhouse, climbing equipment, water and sand trays and outdoor toys such as bikes and prams. In 2011 we are raising funds for an ‘all-weather surface’ in the garden.
The children are actively involved in looking after the garden and take part in bulb planting and tending the plants.
